Living with any chronic illness - be it Multiple Sclerosis, Asthma, or Arthritis - introduces challenges into your life.

Empower yourself! Learn yoga tools you can use daily to live life more fully and mindfully. Each week learn new movement, breath, and meditation techniques that you can use to manage symptoms, calm your system and soothe your mind.

Each class in this 4 week series will include 20 to 40 minutes of asana (yoga postures) followed by seated or lying pranayama (breathing exercises). Each class will finish with a brief meditation and rest.

Upon registration for this series you will receive a 15 minute phone call from the instructor to discuss your unique challenges and goals. This will help her to develop the class to best suit your needs. Please indicate on your registration the best contact phone number.

This class is appropriate for any chronic illness without severely compromised immunity. If you aren’t sure if a group yoga class is safe for you, please check with your health care provider.

This series and the instructor have been approved and are referred by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Washington Chapter.

Series can be repeated. Register for one or both!

About the Instructor: Suzanne Stephens is a 500 hour certified yoga instructor trained in the Viniyoga lineage by Tracy Weber and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Living with Multiple Sclerosis - she's been empowered by the yoga tools she's learned to incorporate into her daily life. Suzanne specializes in teaching you how to empower yourself using yoga tools (including asana, pranayama, meditation, self-study &/or ritual) enabling you to be the best version of yourself that you can be.
